Premium Heavy Weight Vegetable-Tanned Kangaroo Hides

We occasionally have available 1st and 2nd grade heavy-weight vegetable-tanned kangaroo hides in three distinct colors. Ideal for plaited belts, shoes, boots, falconry, and other projects requiring thick leather, these hides average 0.70 square meters in size and range from 1.3mm to 2mm in thickness.

• Tanning Process: Vegetable-tanned using tannin from wattle bark, ensuring a fully sustainable industry. This natural tanning process results in a light brown or white color before dyeing.
• Leather Quality: Full grain with a dry “no-finish,” allowing for easy tooling and dyeing. The natural leather develops a supple feel when conditioned.
• Sustainability: Sourced from wild, sustainable populations and tanned in Australia with approval from the Department of Environment and Heritage. We are licensed to export.
